Vikings take Saugus to 5 sets
SEPTEMBER 3, 2025 — SANTA CLARITA, CA
As we entered the Saugus gym, you could feel it…hot, muggy, and a feeling like you are going to have to dig deep to compete. This is exactly what happened, but Saugus dug a little deeper at the right times.
The first set was all Saugus, but then in the 2nd, the Vikings had the upper hand. It went back and forth, and ultimately the team that passed and stayed in system the most was the team who emerged victorious. The Centurions pulled out the win in 5 sets, and I think everyone in the gym was exhausted! Great effort by both teams!
The JV squad was able to win their match with the same kind of effort! It came down to the wire, and would not take no for an answer!
