TMU Wins at home 3-1

SEPTEMBER 11, 2025 — NEWHALL, CA

As we remember the anniversary of the attack on the Wold Trade Center, The Master’s Men’s Soccer team played a match against Cal Lutheran University, where TMU won by a score of 3-1. It was the first win of the season for the Mustang’s.

The first half of play was intense at times, but solid defense on both sides of the field reigned supreme, as they went into the break 0-0. In the second half, Trent Ricards broke the tie-less score by picking one up deep in CLU’s territory. From then on, it seemed like both teams took a few more chances, and likely spread the field, which opened up opportunities for both teams. Cal Lu tied up the match, and then TMU broke it open with two quick scores to end the match.

There was a great crowd on hand to see TMU win their first match, and the Mustang’s take on Stanton University Saturday for senior day.
