NAIA Crowns TMU Champions

MAY 3, 2025 - CEDAR RAPIDS, IA

This was the matchup that the NAIA world had been waiting for all season long. The Master’s were ranked #1 from the onset, and carried that ranking all the way through the end. They remained undefeated, even with a tough schedule playing some NCAA Division I teams, including beating Stanford at Stanford in 5 sets! The stage was set, The Master’s going head to head with the other undefeated team, #2 Saint Xavier (IL) Cougars.

Both teams knew of each other all season long, and likely watched hours of tape, trying to find and exploit any weaknesses they could find! Sure enough, TMU struggled in the first set, and SXU capitalized, setting up a triple set point for SXU, but the Mustangs powered back, and ended up winning the first set with a score of 28-26. This first set, set the stage for the rest of the match, with TMU winning 2 of the next 3 sets, to win in four.

It was a great way to cap off the season, with The Master’s going undefeated 27-0 in 2025 and capturing the coveted RED BANNER!!!
