Concordia (Neb) & Dakota Wesleyan (SD) Battle to Five!
DECEMBER 3, 2025 — Sioux City, IA
As the first serve was struck, it was about 5 degrees outside, snow on the ground, and breathing was painful. Yet these two teams, along with 14 other teams played their opening round of pool play today in their pursuit of the NAIA WVB Battle for the Red Banner.
The opening set proved to be indicative of what was to come for the next 2 hours…a lot of intense offense, combined with a huge number of errors on both teams! Concordia took the first set (25-23), and then they proceeded to trade sets, as they were tied 2-2 after four sets! Going into the 5th, the match was going to be decided on how well each team executed their offense. The senior from Concordia, Ashley Keck, really dug deep and was able to help lead the Bulldogs to victory with a score of 15-9 in the fifth.
